Peters – Spragg

Tom and Cheryl Spragg of La Porte City and Jeff and Shelley Peters of Dysart are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Josh Spragg and Haley Peters of Stanwood, Iowa.
Josh works as a Driller 1 for Terracon, based out of Cedar Rapids.
Haley teaches Title I Reading (K-6) for the North Cedar Community School District in Mechanicsville.
The couple are planning an October 2016 wedding.

Steven and Alicia Heinen

  Alicia Aldrich and Steven Heinen, both of Indianapolis, IN were married May 21, 2016 by The Canal in downtown Indianapolis.
Parents of the bride are Rodger and Debbie Aldrich of Dysart. Alicia’s grandparents are the late Melvin and Mary Sheffler of La Porte City. The groom’s parents are Duane Heinen of La Porte City and Roxanne Heinen of Waterloo.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Union High School. She is currently a supervisor of pet grooming at Petco in Indianapolis.
The groom graduated from Union High School in 2004. He then served four years active duty in the US Army. He graduated from Coe College in 2012 and went on to receive his Masters in Library Science from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He is employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The couple reside in Indianapolis with their dog and best pal, Sookie.


State Representative Dean Fisher, of rural Garwin, and Vicki Harker, of Pleasant Hill, would like to announce their engagement. The couple is planning a private wedding on Saturday, July 9, 2016, with a public open house reception planned for that afternoon.
Vicki is the daughter of Harold and Beverly Harker, of Urbandale, and Dean is the son of Mary Etta and the late Gerald Fisher, of Garwin. The couple plan to make their home in rural Montour on the Fisher family Heritage Farm.

Allison and Stuart Hemesath

Allison Gill and Stuart Hemesath, of Coralville, were married January 9, 2016, on the beach at Riviera Maya, Mexico, in the presence of friends and family.
Parents of the couple are Clifton and Holly Gill of Arlington Heights, IL, Madonna and Rick Foulk of La Porte City and Stan and Angie Hemesath of Waterloo.
Nicole Valentino, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Attendants included Chelsea Parrott and Krista Carlson, friends of the bride and the groom’s sister, Holli Jo White of Slater, IA.
Drew Hemesath of Ankeny, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Tom Ocheltree of Chicago, Brock Reiter of Indianapolis, friends of the groom and Dylan White, brother-in-law of the groom.
The bride is a 2009 University of Iowa graduate and currently attending the University of Iowa School of Social Work. The groom is also a 2009 University of Iowa graduate and is currently completing a MBA program through the university. He is employed at Dimensional Fund Advisors in Austin, TX.
