With plans for a pyromusical, fireworks choreographed to music, the fireworks show for the 2015 Festival of Trails celebration is lining up to be one of the best ever experienced in La Porte City. Featuring a soundtrack of classic songs and TV tunes, the show has everything from set pieces to Spanish shells, and includes a special appearance by a “classic” figure. The show also features Yeng Feng shells. When these shells open up in the sky, the special shapes they reveal will have to be seen to be believed.

For the best location to enjoy the sights and sounds of the 2015 fireworks show, bring a blanket and lawn chairs to La Porte City Elementary School when it gets dark on Friday, June 19th. In the event of a rainout, the show will be postponed to Saturday, June 20.

La Porte City’s fireworks show proudly features shells from Flashing Thunder Fireworks, an Iowa company that is owned and operated out of Mitchell, Iowa.
A show of this magnitude would not be possible without the generaous support from the following sponsors: Jim Robertson and the La Porte City Telephone Company, the city of La Porte City, Pipho Family Dentistry, Cedar Valley Bank and Trust, Black Hawk Auto Refinishers, and the La Porte City Lions Club.

The combination of classic tunes, television theme songs and patriotic music paired with thunderous fireworks promises a toe-tappin’ good time and visual spectacle that will light up the La Porte City skyline. It’s a show you won’t want to miss!
