What is your most embarrassing moment at Union High School? During my first home game my junior year I was walking over to the student section to do a cheer with them with the rest of the cheerleaders and my ankle gave out. I ended up falling in front of the whole student section and town. It resulted in a sprained ankle but I still cheered on it.
What is your favorite year of high school and why? Junior year, it may have been the hardest year but it was also the best year because I made the most memories.
What is your favorite memory from high school? During homecoming the cheerleaders get to decorate the school with no one in the high school besides us. I’ll always remember that and also getting to go up to Wisconsin Dells for a cheer competition with my team.
My biggest pet peeve is: Rude people.
What will you miss most about high school? The people, most say that that’s something they want to get away from but being able to see people in the hallways and know exactly who they are because we go to a small school is honestly pretty great. Sure we all have our arguments but in the long run if someone in our community or school needs something we’re there for them.
What is the best thing about being a senior? Being the go to for everything.
What are your post-high school plans? I plan on going to Hawkeye Community College for two years to get my general education classes. Then transfer to UNI and get my BA in Social Work.
Your best advice to underclassmen? I’m sure you hear this all the time but it really does go by fast so enjoy it. Don’t be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and do something different. Just make sure you have fun.
