The Dysart Historical Society will be holding the second annual Country School Days at the Historical Center’s restored country school at 612 Crisman Street. The 2018 theme is “1890’s Prairie School.”
Students who will be in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade this coming fall may choose to attend either Tuesday, July 24th or Thursday, July 26th. The teacher will be Miss Rhonda Berry who teaches during the school year in Waterloo.
The school day will last from 9 AM-4 PM with a “last day of school program” for families and friends each day at 3:30. Students will be provided with prairie day costumes, aprons and sunbonnets for the girls and vest and hats for the boys.
The fun-filled school day will consist of 1890’s games, crafts, lessons, music, morning snacks, and an 1890’s style lunch. The cost for the day is $12. There is a limit of twelve students each day. To register or if questions, please call Debi at 319-476-5715 or Ann at 319-476-3557.
