Area hunters and outdoor enthusiasts gathered at Double Lung Archery (DLA) last week, as professional hunter and outfitter Charl van Rooyen of Infinito Safaris was welcomed back to La Porte City for a presentation that illustrated the thrills and challenges of bowhunting in South Africa. DLA owner, Dave Stueve, the exclusive booking agent in the United States for Infinito Bowhunting Safaris, hosted the informational session that outlined what a South African bowhunting safari is all about. It’s an experience like no other, van Rooyen noted, citing the variety, size and toughness of the animals available to hunters.

Infinito Safaris success and reputation as one of the top outfitters in Africa is well-deserved, as the safari experience with van Rooyen and his staff include lodging and dining amenities that are described as “top-notch.”

Bowhunters interested in making the hunting trip of a lifetime can choose from a variety of packages Infinito Safaris has to offer, including the annual Hunt with Double Lung Archery Safari, June 15-26. The DLA Package includes eight hunting days and the following animals: Kudu Bull, Blue Wildebeest Bull and Impala. Cost for the hunt, which includes one day each for arrival and departure, is $5,499, plus airfare and taxidermy.

Infinito Bowhunting Safaris also has five day hunting packages that include three animals, starting at just $2,100 (not including airfare). For more information about bowhunting in South Africa, contact Dave Stueve at 342-4550 or logon to www.infinito-safaris.com.
