Union’s Koby Alpers enjoyed a standout senior baseball season, earning First Team All District and All-Conference honors. The shortstop was a teror at the plate, hitting .522 with 16 doubles, a triple and 2 home runs.

Other postseason honors for Union baseball players:

Hunter Fleshner, All-Conference Second Team
The senior second baseman hit .392 with 9 doubles, 3 triples and 1 home run. In 113 chances in the field, Fleshner committed just six errors.

Anthony Kiler, All-Conference Second Team
Starting eight games, Kiler compiled a 5-3 record, with an earned run average of 4.47.

Jace Glenn, All-Coference Honorable Mention
Glenn, a catcher, started all 25 games, hitting .259 and stealing 10 bases in 10 attempts.
Union finished the 2018 campaign with a 9-16 overall record, 5-11 in North Iowa Cedar League (NICL) East conference play.
