New Students in Grades 7-12 to Register August 12
School registration for students in the Union Community School District will be conducted from 1-7 PM on both August 10 and 11. Parents are asked to register students at the building in which they will attend classes.
Registration for students new to Union Middle School and Union High School will be held on a separate date, August 12, from 9 AM to noon. It is important for parents of students new to the district to attend registration so they can authorize the release of records from their child’s previous school.
Registration is an important time for both families and school personnel. The registration process allows for students to be assigned teachers at the elementary school level, and class assignments to be made for students at the middle and high school levels. Completion of each student’s enrollment card, which contains important information about who should be contacted in an emergency, is an important part of the enrollment process. Registration is also important for the district’s transportation department, as the determination of school bus routes can be finalized after students’ addresses have been confirmed.
One of the most time consuming parts of school registration relates to the number of forms that must be completed. To save parents time, many of the forms are now available on the district’s website, located at The forms required for each school are listed by building. Some of these forms may be completed and submitted online. Others, while not able to be submitted online, may be printed, completed and returned to the school when students are registered.
Student fees are due and payable at registration time.
