In a conference road game played June 21, the Union Baseball Team lost a close game with league leaders A-P, 4-3. The one run loss is the seventh one run loss of the season for the Knights.

The game was scoreless until A-P scored single runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings. Trailing 3-0 with one out in the seventh Union rallied. A walk to Clark, a hit by Howe, and another walk to Holschlag loaded the bases. A strikeout made it two outs bringing Tecklenburg to the plate. A walk to Tecklenburg pushed one run across to close the gap to 3-1 with Driscol at the plate with runners on second and third. An error on a ground ball by Driscol allowed the tying run to cross the plate.

A-P lead the bottom of the seventh off with a walk, sacrificed the runner to second, which caused the infield to play in. A-P took advantage by punching a ground ball through for the game winning hit.

Senior Nic Peters threw a nice game giving up three earned runs, six hits, walking one, and striking out four.

The Knights were held in check offensively with Barz and Howe collecting lone hits.

Union is 6-11 overall and 3-5 in league play.
