Marion Comes Out Swinging
The Marion baseball team came out swinging on their home field in a doubleheader against the Knights and did not let up as they collected 30 hits on the night as they swept the Knights 15-0 and 13-3.
In game one, Marion set the tone early as they scored six runs in the first off of Union starter Alex Kane. Marion would chase Kane from the game in the fourth and finished the game by the 15 run rule in four innings. Union could not get any offense going off of Marion’s number one pitcher as Union was held to four hits (Carey, Tecklenburg, Lambe, and Stech).
Kane suffered the loss for Union.
