Freckles’ Adopt a Pet – June 21, 2017

Freckles and The Progress Review encourage potential pet owners who are loving and responsible to consider adopting a pet from the Cedar Bend Humane Society.
Cassidy is a happy, energetic 3 year old who wants to snuggle. While he is fairly active, he does calm down and he enjoys laying next to you as you relax. He always wants to have a paw on you to make sure you are near, however! If you move, he will be right by your side and ready to go. Cassidy would make a great companion for any person who is willing to spend a little time with basic training. While he is great with dogs, he should not be in a home with cats. He would likely make a wonderful family dog, and would love to be home with you! His adoption fee is $190.

Simon (about 5 years old) is a handsome chocolate point Siamese that loves to chase anything that rolls! He gets along well with older children, and would prefer to be the only pet in the home. He is not a huge fan of being held, but he loves to be petted and sitting by your side as your relax on the couch. He is fairly independent, and would love to find a home that respects his space when he requests it. Simon is declawed on his front paws; his adoption fee is $80.

Aria is about 1 year old and an excitable girl who enjoys the company of people she knows. She can be shy at first, however, she warms up quickly. Aria is looking for a home that will give her lots of love and attention! She is an attention hog according to the staff at Cedar Bend. Aria would benefit from going for numerous walks, or having an outside pen that she could exercise in during the day to relieve some of her built up energy. She is a wonderful girl! Adoption fee: $190 which includes spay, vaccinations, worming, microchip, and started on flea/tick prevention.

Ziggy is about 4 years old, with a unique personality and appearance! He is believed to be a Manx mix, which causes him to have a short, stubby tail. Ziggy also appears to have an old injury to his ear, which has resulted in him having a “crinkle” ear. His adoptive owners will likely need to it on a regular basis to prevent infection from occurring; this should not be a difficult task as he doesn’t seem to mind. He is a fantastic boy who loves to be around people! He also appears to get along fairly well with other cats. Stop by Cedar Bend to check this handsome boy out! His adoption fee is $80.

Liberty, a Bluetick Coonhound is about 5 years old. She has been fairly quiet and reserved but has slowly begun to come out of her shell, and starting to enjoy treats and squeaky toys! Liberty is a beautiful girl who would benefit from a basic dog training class, who only wants to be loved. She seems to walk well on a leash, and appears to have some reservations about strangers. She would do best in a home without cats as she is very driven to chase cats. Her adoption fee is $190.
