Spring has sprung and it’s time to scratch that gardening and yard work itch. On Tuesday, April 8, at 6 PM join Waste Trac at Hawkins Memorial Library for a backyard composting and worm-composting workshop.

Learn how to use nature’s way of recycling to turn yard waste and food waste into black gold. Look at various designs of homemade bins, get a close up view of the creatures that make your bin a living community, and explore redworm composting.

This program is presented by educators providing solid waste education throughout Black Hawk County. There is no charge to attend this program.
