Fritz_Daron_webDaron Franklin Fritz, 47 of Lake Mills, IA, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Friday evening, April 11, 2014, at the Lake Mills Care Center in Lake Mills.
Daron was born on September 27, 1966, in Battle Creek, IA, the son of DeLaine and Lois (Albers) Fritz. Daron graduated from Battle Creek High School in 1985 and the University of South Dakota in 1989. He went on to earn his law degree at Drake University, graduating with honors in 1992.
Daron met his wife, Teresa Tonner, while a student at the University of South Dakota. They were united in marriage on July 29, 1989, at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Primghar, IA.  They were blessed with two children, Morgan and Mason.
He loved spending time with his family which included going to the kids’ sporting events and traveling. He was known for detailed itinerary as he enjoyed planning every event for family vacations.
Daron practiced law in Lake Mills. He served as Winnebago County Magistrate Judge from 1994–2013. He was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church where he was involved in leadership and Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed coaching children’s sports, playing golf and accomplished running in marathon’s and 5k’s.
Daron is survived by his loving wife, Teresa, his two great kids, Morgan and Mason, and his mother, Lois Fritz, all of Lake Mills; brother, Damon Fritz, and his son, from La Porte City; brother, Daeon Fritz and his children, from Maryville, TN; along with his in-laws.
Daron was preceded in death by his father, DeLaine Fritz.
Funeral services will be held April 21, 2014, at Salem Lutheran Church in Lake Mills with burial at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in rural Scarville, IA.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Hospice of North Iowa.
