Individuals interested in a power technology or construction career are invited to an information session Tuesday, November 3, at 5:30 PM in Butler Hall on Hawkeye’s Main Campus, 1501 East Orange Road, Waterloo.
Careers in power technology and construction include some of the hottest jobs in Iowa, with increasing demand and increasing wages. The event will highlight programs providing hands-on training for these careers, including Agricultural Power Technology, Automotive Technology, Civil and Construction Engineering Technology, Collision Repair and Refinishing, Construction Equipment Operation, Diesel Truck Technology, Heating and Air Conditioning, Sustainable Construction and Design, and Truck Driving and Transportation Training.
Meet with instructors, learn about classes, and hear from local employers in these fields, including Rydell Chevrolet, C & S Car Company, Dietz Construction, Ryder Transportation, Young Plumbing and Heating, Aire Serv of the Cedar Valley, Iowa Auto Rebuilders, and Lennox Industries.
There will be an opportunity to meet instructors from the various programs, as well as tour Hawkeye’s training facilities.
