Preschoolers can hop in for great stories about bunnies and eggs for Story Time on Thursday, March 28.  Celebrate the Easter holiday with fun activities at 10:30 AM, that morning at the library.

In the upcoming movie Peter Pan, the Darling family children receive a visit from Peter Pan, who takes them to Never Never Land where an ongoing war with the evil Pirate Captain Hook is taking place. Peter Pan is a classic movie you won’t want to miss on Friday, March 29. The movie, with popcorn, will start at 1:15 PM.

During Easter break, Monsters Inc. is showing on Tuesday, April 2, at 1:15 PM. In this movie monsters generate their city’s power by scaring children, but they are terribly afraid themselves of being contaminated by children, so when one enters Monstropolis, top scarer Sulley finds his world disrupted.

Join the Abel sisters, Ruth Anne and Janice, on Wednesday, April 3, at 6 PM, to hear about growing up in La Porte City.  They will share about their book From the Wishmore to You and its newer companion book From The Wishmore to You Cookbook.

April showers bring May flowers, and at Story Time on Thursday, April 4, the children will enjoy stories and crafts about rain. Maybe it will be done snowing by then!

Register at the library to win a four-pack of general admission tickets to the Science Center of Iowa, located in Des Moines.  The drawing for these tickets will be held on Friday, April 12. This would make a great family summer road trip.
