Come in for popcorn, games, and the showing of Teen Beach Movie on Thursday, August 15, at 1:15 PM. This film introduces confident surfer McKenzie (“Mack”) and her carefree boyfriend Brady, a fan of the retro surf musical movie, “Wet Side Story.” On the morning of McKenzie’s scheduled departure for boarding school, she and Brady catch one last epic wave, which mysteriously carries them right into “Wet Side Story,” Join us for the afternoon.

Learn how to use the NEIBORS program to borrow free eBooks or audio books from the library on your Nook on Monday, August 19, at 6 PM, during a one-hour instructional class.  Please register for this free program at the library.  You are also welcome to attend if you are thinking of buying a Nook or would like to know how they work.

On Thursday, August 29, the movie Super Buddies is playing.  Watch the fur fly as a new breed of super hero is born. An ordinary day at Fernfield Farms turns extraordinary when Budderball, Mudbud, B-Dawg, Buddha and Rosebud discover mysterious rings that grant them each a unique super power. The pups unleash their amazing abilities and race to the rescue when a shape-shifting bully from outer space threatens the planet. Come in for this great activity on an early-out day from school. There will be popcorn and games too.

It is time to register for Preschool Story Time.  Story Time for preschoolers begins on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 10:30 AM. Bring your youngsters in each week for stories, activities, and crafts on Thursday mornings during the school year.

Board games are always out and available in the library.  Choose from Checkers, Chess, Cootie, Jenga, Sudoku, Cranium, Pictureka, Chinese Checkers, Tic Tac Toe, Connect Four, Yahtze, HandsDown, Life, Sorry, Clue, Chutes and Ladders, Candyland, and more! And if you have games on your shelf that are no longer being played, please consider donating them to the library’s stash. Kids and families who come in to the library regularly enjoy playing these games.
