Preschoolers will be delighted with great books about presents and giving at Story Time on Thursday, December 12, at 10:30 AM.
Hawkins Handcrafters meet from 1 to 3 PM on Thursday, December 12. This group meets just once in December. Bring your handwork and join usThe Union Carolers are performing in the library on Friday, December 13, at 5 PM. Drop in, take a seat, and enjoy these charming and talented a cappella singers dressed in their Victorian-era garb.
Join us on Monday, December 16, at 6 PM, when local author Cynthia Gross will visit the library for a reading and signing of her newly published inspirational book Alabaster. Cindy will share excerpts from her book of poems and short writings and tell the story of how she came to write her book.
The Kids’ Wild About Books Club will meet on Wednesday, December 18, at 3:45 PM, to review the book Among The Hidden, by Margaret Peterson Maddix. To participate, kids ages 4th grade and up should register at the library, check out a book to read, and return on December 18 to chat.
With Christmas just around the corner, Santa is the topic for Preschool Story Time on Thursday, December 19, at 10:30 AM.
The library will be closed for the Christmas holiday on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 24 and 25.
A Christmas Carol is playing during school break on Friday, December 27. We will have popcorn and games too.
Thank you to those writing cards to service members for our Holiday Mail for Heroes event. More than 130 cards of thanks and encouragement were sent.

A “bookmas” tree has grown in the library again this year. Stop and make your guess as to how many books it took to grow to seven feet in height.
