Merry Christmas from Hawkins Memorial Library. May your holiday be safe, healthy, and joyful.
Bring your preschooler at 10:30 AM for Santa fun! Stories and activities about the Jolly Old Elf will thrill children on Thursday, December 22, at Story Time.
Grab a project to complete and take a break for adult crafting from 1 to 3 PM on Thursday, December 22, at Hawkins’ Handcrafters.
Dash in and scoop up extra books and movies early because Hawkins Memorial Library is closed on Saturday, December 24, for the Christmas holiday.
The Secret Life of Pets shows on Tuesday, December 27, at 1:15 PM. The quiet life of a terrier named Max is upended when his owner takes in Duke, a stray. Rated PG, animation/adventure/comedy, plays 87 min.
Crafts for kids are available Wednesday through Friday, December 28 -30. Get out of the house and get creative!
Story Time will not be held on Thursday, December 29, due to Christmas break. Preschoolers can join us again on January 5.
The BFG is the 1:15 PM movie on Thursday, December 29. A girl encounters the Big Friendly Giant, who is considered an outcast by the other giants because he refuses to eat children. Rated PG, adventure/family/fantasy, plays 117 min.
How many books does it take to build a tree? Take a gander at our 6 foot book tree and make a guess on the number of stacked volumes.
Help us empty the tags from the Adopt a Book tree. Choose a children’s book, purchase it, and then receive recognition for your donation with a bookplate placed in that book. This makes a wonderful memorial or a gift in honor of someone.
