Pete’s Dragon is the 1:15 PM movie on Friday, February 17. It is about the adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliot, who just so happens to be a dragon. Rated PG, adventure/fantasy/family, plays 1 hr. 43 min.
You can Color and Connect at our adult coloring program on Tuesday, February 21, from 6 to 8 PM. Grab a friend and try this new trend. We have all of the supplies.
Fly in to Story Time to hear stories about birds on Thursday, February 23, at 10:30 AM. It will be a fun flight for preschoolers!
From 1-3 PM on Thursday, February 23, Hawkins’ Handcrafters meet. Bring any type of craft, or handwork and join others for conversation and inspiration.
The House I Loved, by Tatiana de Rosnay, is the February Book Club selection. Paris, France: 1860’s. Hundreds of houses are being razed. Rose Bazelet is determined to fight against the destruction of her family home. To overcome loneliness while stationed in her house, she writes letters to her late husband forcing her to come to terms with a thirty-year-old secret. Register at the library, check out a book, finish reading by the meeting date, and join this group on Monday, February 27, at 1 PM for the discussion.
You have until the end of February to try a Blind Date with a Book. Based only on genre pick up a book from our display. Many of our bold blind daters have had love at first read with a new author or series.
