Drive over to Preschool Story Time to hear stories about vehicles on Thursday, February 18, at 10:30 AM. It will be a fun ride!
Goosebumps shows on Friday, February 19, at 1:15 PM. A teenager teams up with the daughter of young adult horror author R.L. Stine after the writer’s imaginary demons are set free on the town of Madison, Delaware. Rated PG, 103 minutes, adventure/comedy/fantasy.
Read the book and then join the Book Club discussion for Driftless, by David Rhodes, on Monday, February 22, at 1 PM. The few hundred souls who inhabit Words, Wisconsin, offer a vivid and unforgettable look at how each life affects many.
Story Time preschoolers will have fun with animals in winter at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 25. Read about groundhogs, birds and bears, oh my!, during Story Time.
From 1 to 3 PM on Thursday, February 25, Hawkins’ Handcrafters meet. Bring any type of craft, or handwork and join others for conversation and inspiration.
You have until the end of February to try a Blind Date with a Book. Based only on genre select a book from our display. Many of our daring blind daters have had love at first read with a new author or series.
Our LEGO building program is on Tuesday, March 1, from 4 to 5:30 PM. Join us in creating a party in March to celebrate one year of LEGORAMA in the library!
The Good Dinosaur is the Wednesday, March 2, flick in the library. In a world where dinosaurs and humans live side-by-side, an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. This free movie starts at 1:15 PM. Rated PG, 93 minutes, animation/adventure/ comedy.
A limited selection of Federal income tax forms is now available at the library.
Thank you to our Adopt-A-Book donors. The library received 19 delightful children’s books as gifts and to honor family members. Book plates have been placed in the requested books, so we will long remember your kindness. What a thoughtful gift to the whole community!
