The animated movie Green Lantern, Emerald Knights plays Wednesday, July 15, at 1:15 PM. As the home planet of the Green Lantern Corps faces a battle with an ancient enemy, Hal Jordan prepares new recruit Arisia for the coming.
Entertain the kids with Summer Reading crafts between 1 and 5 PM on Friday, July 17. Create masks, a Captain America figure or shield, and write and color hero posters.
Our LEGORAMA program is from 2-3:30 PM on Monday, July 20. All ages are welcome to build with us.
Summer Reading Program number three is Police Heroes. The local Police Department is teaching bike safety, showing equipment and a police car, fingerprinting, and more, in this hero session at 6 PM on Tuesday, July 21.
The Incredibles shows on Wednesday, July 22, at 1:15 PM. A family of undercover superheroes, while trying to live the quiet suburban life, is forced into action to save the world.

The library is asking for donations of chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, rice crispy bars, and brownies for our Ragbrai bake sale on Thursday, July 23.

Shanghai Girls, by Lisa See, is the July Book Club selection. In 1937 Shanghai, Pearl Chin and her sister are having the time of their lives. To repay his debts, he must sell the girls as wives to suitors who have traveled from Los Angeles to find Chinese brides. The Book Club meets for this discussion on Monday, July 27, at 1 PM.
Meet, read to, and learn how dogs are trained by Retrieving Freedom, Inc., for the final Summer Reading Program. This group prepares service dogs for placement with veterans, diabetics, and children with autism. Sign up to read to a dog before the 6 PM program.
