Enjoy a book talk and signing with author Janice Abel on Wednesday, July 17, at 6 PM. The newly released book Brass Notes is the author’s salute to childhood and community life in rural America. This is a wonderful book for young readers.

Toy Story 2 is the movie on Thursday, July 18, at 1:15 PM. When Woody is stolen by a toy collector, Buzz and his friends vow to rescue him, but Woody finds the idea of immortality in a museum tempting. Join us at the library for popcorn, games, and this delightful movie.

Garden crafts will be out and ready for kids to make on Friday, July 19, from 1 to 5 PM. Paint, glue, and design a variety of garden themed art pieces.

Turning Over Rocks on Tuesday, July 23, 6 PM for Summer Reading will be an evening of discovery with Leon Lindley from McFarlane Park. “Turning Over Rocks” means looking over, under, and in things to discover nature. Leon will be bringing friends to this Summer Reading Program that he has uncovered while turning over rocks.

In Toy Story 3, playing on Thursday, July 25, at 1:15 PM, the toys are mistakenly delivered to a day-care center instead of the attic right before Andy leaves for college, and it’s up to Woody to convince the other toys that they weren’t abandoned and to return home. Bring your friends in for the movie, popcorn, and games.

Creature art can be created at the library from 1-5 PM on Friday, July 26, for Summer Reading fun. Artists can help fill our summer art show with their masterpieces.
