Tuesday, June 16 is the next Superheroes in Science program. Kids experiment with solar power and will gobble up the results! This fun, hands-on learning lab is presented by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Sessions are from 1-2 PM for 2nd grade and younger, and 2:30-3:30 PM for 3rd-5th grade.
On Wednesday and Thursday, June 17 and 18, from 1 to 6 PM, children can make Father’s Day Cards at the library. Bring your creativity and take home a card for dad.
The summer weekly Wednesday movie on June 17, at 1:15 PM is McFarland USA. In this inspirational movie, a cross country coach in a small California town transforms a team of athletes into championship contenders.
The library will be closed for regular business on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20, for Festival of Trails. We will open briefly Saturday for a Magic Show. Comedy Magician Rick Eugene will present a Magic Show at 1 PM Saturday, June 20. Rick provides comical entertainment and magic together that is fun for the whole family.
Book Club is on Monday, June 22, at 1 PM. The group is discussing Half Broke Horses by Jeannette Walls.
Dan Wardell is visiting the library on Monday, June 22, at 3 PM with his exciting program for kids! Don’t miss Dan’s Reading Road Trip, with Dan Wardell of IPTV.
It is time to register for the library’s Every Hero Has a Story Summer Reading Program. Special hero programs are Tuesday nights in July, with creative crafts on Fridays.
