Adventures in Zambezia is the movie playing on Thursday, June 20, at 1:15 PM. Set in a bustling bird city on the edge of the majestic Victoria Falls, “Zambezia” is the story of Kai – a naïve, but high-spirited young falcon who travels to the bird city of “Zambezia” where he discovers the truth about his origins and, in defending the city, learns how to be part of a community. There will also be popcorn, games, and coloring.

Local author Gary Lee Martinson will be signing and talking about his recently published book Ball of String on Thursday, June 27, 6 PM at Hawkins Memorial Library. You will never read a more twisted romance novel with this good-hearted, honest Amish girl tormented by love that creates tangles in her life’s ball of string. Please come and meet Gary, hear about his book, and purchase a book to read and have signed

Enjoy knitting, or want to learn? The library would like to start a knitting group. This group would meet twice each month to chat, share, teach, and of course knit. Let us know if you’d like to participate so we can put a schedule together.  And if you don’t knit, but enjoy another creative craft, you are welcome to join us too.
