Register now for the Dig Into Reading Summer Reading Program at the library. Four different programs will be held at 6 PM Tuesday evenings starting July 9, with crafts from 1-5 PM the following Friday afternoons. This program is for age 3 through 5th grade. Pick up a schedule and a reading log at the library when you register.

At 1:15 PM on Thursday, June 27, Finding Nemo is the summer movie, along with popcorn, games, and coloring at the library.

Local author Gary Lee Martinson will be talking about and signing his recently published book Ball of String on Thursday, June 27, 6 PM. This book is a romance about an Amish girl tormented by love that creates tangles in her life’s ball of string. Please come and congratulate Gary, hear about his book, and purchase a book to have signed.

Summer Jazz will be at the library on Friday, June 28. Union High School Jazz Band Camp students will share a concert at 1 PM. Please come in and enjoy their performance.

Join us for crafts on Wednesday, July 3, from 1-5 PM. Show your red, white, and blue spirit by creating fun patriotic decorations to celebrate the holiday. Beginning at 1:15 PM The Aristocats will also be showing.

The library will be closed for the holiday on Thursday July 4, so plan ahead and grab extra books, magazines, and movies for your day off.

Vermicomposting will be the first Summer Reading program on Tuesday, July 9, at 6 PM. Wastetrac educators will bring a worm bin and show how worms can recycle food scraps. They will also have a puppet show and worm stations.
