“Get lucky with a Book” at the library. You recommend your favorite reads to other patrons and they share their preferences on our March “Luck of the Irish” display. You may discover a new author or series thanks to the suggestion of a local leprechaun.
Come in for Dr. Seuss reading and fun! Preschoolers will celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday with his clever stories at Story Time on Thursday, March 2, 10:30 AM.
The library has coffee for you on Monday mornings at 8 AM.
LEGORAMA! Our LEGO building program is on Tuesday, March 7, from 4-5:30 PM. Dig in and create with bins of exciting LEGO pieces.
Young children will explore the zoo and the animals that live there during Preschool Story Time on Thursday, March 9, at 10:30 AM.
Don’t forget Hawkins Handcrafters from 1-3 PM on Thursday, March 9.
Iowa author Linda Betsinger McCann talks about her new book Civilian Conservation Corps in Northeast Iowa on Tuesday, March 14, at 6 PM. The Civilian Conservation Corps was a federal program to assist young men in supporting their families, and also to renew our natural resources. Most of the Iowa State Parks had work done in them. Linda was able to speak with men who had been in the CCC and shared their memories with her.
