“Get lucky with a Book” at the library. You recommend your favorite reads to other patrons and they share their preferences on our March “Luck of the Irish” display. You may discover a new author or series thanks to the suggestion of a local leprechaun.
Books and activities about leprechauns, shamrocks, and green will entertain preschoolers as they celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Story Time on Thursday, March 16, at 10:30 AM.
Let your inner artist soar when you choose from many delightful coloring pages and explore gel, metallic, or glitter pens, colored pencils and other markers at Color and Connect, our coloring program for adults, from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, March 21.
Moana is the movie on Wednesday, March 22, at 1:15 PM. In Ancient Polynesia, when a terrible curse incurred by the Demigod Maui reaches an impetuous Chieftain’s daughter’s island, she answers the Ocean’s call to seek out the Demigod to set things right. Rated PG, animation/adventure/comedy, plays 1 hr. and 47 min.
Warmer weather signals that it’s time to read books about spring at Story Time. Preschoolers can enjoy spring stories on Thursday, March 23, at 10:30 AM.
It’s National Craft Month! Celebrate by joining other stitchers and crafters for Hawkins Handcrafters on Thursday, March 23, 1-3 PM. All types of handcrafting are welcome.
There is still time to grab a copy of The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson to discuss on Monday, March 27, at 1 PM. This book has been hailed as a perfect work of unnerving terror and is the March Book Club selection.
It’s party time from 3-6 PM on Thursday, March 30, when we congratulate Rachel Ward on her retirement from the library. Drop in during this open house celebration and wish her your best.
