“Get lucky with a Book” at the library. You recommend your favorite reads to other patrons and they share their favorites with you on our March “Luck of the Irish” display. You might discover a new author or series, thanks to a local leprechaun who suggested a good book.
Lions, lambs, and March weather will be the topics at Story Time on Thursday, March 6. Stories start at 10:30 AM for preschoolers.
On Wednesday, March 12, at 1:15 PM The Jungle Book is the early out movie. Bagheera the Panther and Baloo the Bear have a difficult time trying to convince a boy to leave the jungle for human civilization in this classic 1967 Disney flick. Popcorn comes with the movie.
Everyone should wear green to Preschool Story Time on Thursday, March 13, to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Books and activities about leprechauns, shamrocks, and the color green will entertain children that morning.
The Kids’ Wild About Books Club selection for March is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. Kids fourth grade and older can register at the library, read the book, and join others for a great discussion and theme snack on Wednesday, March 19, at 3:45 PM.
A variety of learning experiences will be covered in a one-hour basic Windows computer class on Monday, March 24, at 4:30 PM. Sign up at the library to attend this free course. Class size is limited.
The library is forming a book discussion group for adults. Participants read a different book each month then meet to talk about it. The Shell Seekers by Rosamunde Pilcher is our March reading selection. Register and check out a book, read it by the meeting date, and join the group at the library on Tuesday, March 25, at 1 PM.
The library is looking for creative teens interested in planning summer programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Contact Jolene to help.
An I-pad program instructor is needed. Please contact the library if you have this skill and can teach others.
