Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Story Time on Thursday, March 10. At 10:30 AM books and activities about leprechauns, shamrocks, and green will entertain preschoolers.
From 1 to 3 PM on Thursday, March 10, Hawkins Handcrafters meet to work, create, stitch and chat. Everyone is welcome.
You are encouraged to compete in the 2016 DASH for the STASH, an investor education and protection program and contest taking place March 15 through May 15, at the library. Log the correct answers for all four posters and be entered in a drawing to receive a $1,000 Individual Retirement Account (IRA) contribution.
Make your life brighter by attending Color and Connect, a coloring program for adults, from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, March 15. The library provides coloring pages, pens and pencils, and hot beverages.
The autobiography American Sniper by Chris Kyle, is the Big Library Read program book from Thursday, March 17, through Thursday, March 31. Any library card holder can borrow this eBook by visiting and using the BRIDGES tab.
Celebrate the Easter holiday with “egg-citing” activities at Preschool Story Time at 10:30 AM on Thursday March 17. Preschoolers can hop in for fun and stories with bunnies and eggs. Story Time will not be held on Thursday, March 24, due to no school that day.
Crafts for Easter are in the library from Wednesday through Saturday, March 23-26. Make Easter egg magnets, an Easter basket, color pictures and stamp cards.
The movie Open Season: Scared Silly plays on Friday, March 25, at 1:15 PM. Elliot, Boog and all of the beloved woodland creatures are back in a brand new comedy adventure. Rated PG, Animation/Adventure/Comedy.
Grab a copy of The Samurai’s Garden by Gail Tsukiyama to discuss on Monday, March 28, at 1 PM. This novel is the March Book Club selection.
