Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith, by John Krakauer, is the October Book Club selection. This work takes readers inside America’s isolated Mormon Fundamentalist communities. Beginning with a double murder, Krakauer constructs a multi-layered, bone-chilling narrative of messianic delusion, polygamy, savage violence, and unyielding faith. Read the book and join this group on Monday, October 23, at 1 PM for the discussion.
You are invited to join local author Gary Lee Martinson at the library on Wednesday, October 25, at 6:30 PM for a book talk and signing featuring his newly released book Allerton and Axtell, The Rush.
