The movie on Wednesday, September 23, at 1:15 PM, is the new release of Cinderella. When her father unexpectedly passes away, young Ella finds herself at the mercy of her cruel stepmother and her daughters. Never one to give up hope, Ella’s fortunes begin to change after meeting a dashing stranger.

September 27 – October 3 is Banned Books Week, an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. Judge the content of questionable books for yourself by checking out banned and challenged books from our display. Read freely!
Left Neglected by Lisa Genova is the September 28, 1 PM book club discussion selection. A vibrant mother in her thirties learns what matters most in life when a car crash leaves her with a traumatic brain disorder called “left neglect.” This is a story about finding abundance in the most difficult of circumstances, learning to pay attention to the details, and nourishing what truly matters. Pick up a copy of this book at the library and join the discussion.
UHS football players and cheerleaders will read to children at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 1. Preschoolers can practice throwing a football and learn a cheer to celebrate Union’s Homecoming during Story Time. And everyone will be decorating the sidewalk to show their Union spirit. Don’t miss the excitement.
Tuesday, October 6 is our next LEGORAMA building program. Plan to show up and build from 4 to 5:30 PM that afternoon.
October is Computer Learning Month. Sign-up for a basic computer class teaching you how to use Microsoft Word on Tuesday, October 27, 9 AM. Bring your questions, learn how to create documents and get computer help during this one-hour class. A $5.00 registration fee is required to hold your place, and will be refunded upon attendance.
