Ida Beth Stryker, 84, of Kansas City, formerly of La Porte City, passed away August 9, 2015, after an extended illness.
Ida Beth was born April 29, 1931, to Gene and Effie Robertson in Cozad, NE. She grew up in Central Nebraska and Northern Kansas, and graduated from Cozad High School. She married Arthur Edmisten and together they had four children. In 1970, she moved to La Porte City, which she considered her home. There she married Howard Stryker, who preceded her in death, as did her parents.
Survivors include her children, Callie Wooldridge, Arthur “Pete” (Sue) Edmisten, Eddie Edmisten and Ida May Edmisten; grandchildren Lucretia Glenn, Erica Edmisten, Ellie (Keith) Kohler, Corey Edmisten and Amy Edmisten; seven great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.
Her Life Celebration will be September 20, 2015, at her residence in La Porte City.
