Do you knit, crochet, cross-stitch, embroider, quilt, needlepoint, or do any other type of handwork or crafting? Most of us have several of these unfinished projects in our homes and find it hard to set aside the time, or find the motivation to complete them. Sometimes it is just plain boring, working alone.
Your solution to this challenge is Hawkins’ Handcrafters. Join the Handcrafters at Hawkins Memorial Library on the second and fourth Thursdays each month, from 1-3 PM. Bring your own project and the supplies needed to work on it, and enjoy the company of other stitchers while you make some progress on completing your project. If you become stumped by the instructions or technique there will probably be another handcrafter you can ask for help.
There is no pressure to attend every session. This group is designed to help you be more productive, creative, and have fun. Join fellow Hawkins Handcrafters this month on Thursdays, September 12 and 26, with your project, be it new or in-progress, and get to work on it – at least for a little while.
