Ivonne Feuerbach, 84, of Dysart, Iowa, died on November 21, 2015, at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart.
She was born on October 11, 1931, in La Porte City, Iowa, the daughter of Uri Richard and Wilma (Smith) Elliott. Ivonne was united in marriage to Loren Feuerbach on June 9, 1951, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dysart. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2001.
Ivonne graduated from Geneseo High School in 1949 and attended Gates College in Waterloo. She celebrated life focused on her family in a Christian, loving home. She was a leader in 4H and enjoyed traveling, sewing, cooking and gardening. Ivonne was president of the Rosary Society at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by six children, Mark (Carolyn) Feuerbach of Dysart, Elaine (Robert) Moore of Hudson, Catherine (Robert) Olson of Clarion, Diane (Timothy) Horrigan of Waterloo, David (Sheri) Feuerbach of Coralville, and Julie (Steven) Arndt of Geneseo, Illinois; sixteen grandchildren, Sara (Ryan) Kibsgaard and Matt Feuerbach, Elliott Moore and Erica (Benjamin) Howe, Ali (Dave) Gaus and Audrey (Jonathan) Dodge, Joseph, Katie, Annie, and Maggie Horrigan, Jacob (Natalie) Feuerbach, Jason (Mandy) Feuerbach, Jenni Feuerbach and Chris Meyer, Jessie Feuerbach and Mike Blegen, and Sam and Abby Arndt; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Carol Elliott of La Porte City.
Ivonne was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Alfred G. Elliott; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marvin and Jeanette Hook.
Visitation will take place at Overton Funeral Home in Dysart on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, from 5 to 7 PM. A Rosary Service will be held at 4:45 PM prior to visitation. Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 11AM, with burial at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Dysart.
