Kevin James Hart, 44, of La Porte City, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning. He was born July 31, 1968, in Keene, NH, the son of James K. and Elizabeth M. Benedict Hart. He graduated from Belle Vernon Area High School in PA and received his Journeyman Lineman apprenticeship through Northeastern Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee. He married Kathy Felderman on October 27, 2012 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in La Porte City.

He worked as a Journeyman Lineman in 48 states and also American Samoa. He currently owned and operated 3C Construction in La Porte City. He served on the Trustee Board for St. Paul United Methodist Church and was a member of IBEW #126.

He is survived by his parents, James and Elizabeth Hart of Belle Vernon, PA; his wife, Kathy of La Porte City; one daughter, Samantha Hart of Belle Vernon, PA; two step sons, Dylan and Aidan Felderman, both at home; one brother, Rev. Brian (Karen) Hart of West Mifflin, PA; two sisters, Denise Hart of Minneapolis, MN, Diane Webster of Donora, PA; maternal grandmother, Margaret Benedict of Salem, MA; nieces and nephews, Laura Rock, Sara Hart, Nathan Hart, Richard Wright, Amanda Hart and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Howard S. (Iva Dail) Hart and a maternal grandfather, Doig Benedict.

Services were held March 6, 2013, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, with inurnment at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul United Methodist Church or the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
