Readers between the age of 3 years and 5th grade will explore what they can dig into this summer as Hawkins Memorial Library presents “Dig Into Reading” for their summer library program.

The 2013 Summer Reading Program is open to area young people, with programs, prize drawings, group and individual reading, and craft days. Activities will include 6 PM evening programs on Tuesdays, July 9, 16, 23, and 30, on Vermicomposting, Digging Into History At The Museum, Turning Over Rocks, and We Dig Magic. In addition, craft days will be held on Friday afternoons July 12, 19, 26, and August 2, from 1 to 5 PM at the library.  During these drop-in craft days, make and take projects will be available for children to create and then share in the library’s Summer Reading Art Show.
