Larry B. Craft, 63, of La Porte City, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at his home of colon cancer.   He was born July 30, 1951 in Waterloo the son of Raymond and Patricia (Condon) Craft.  He was a 1969 graduate of La Porte City High School at attended NIACC for two years receiving a degree in Heating and Air.   He married Debra A. Dyball on April 28, 1973 in Waterloo.

He owned and operated Craft Heating & Appliance in La Porte City for 30 years retiring in 2014. Larry also had worked as a Service Technician for Casey’s General Store for the last 10 years.

Larry had been a member of the La Porte City Fire Department, Lions Club and Chamber.

Survived by: his wife Deb of La Porte City; two sons, Joe (Autumn) Craft of North Liberty, Marc Craft of Waterloo; one daughter, Emily Craft of La Porte City; two grandsons, Holden and Quinn of North Liberty; two brothers, Michael (LeAnn) Craft of La Porte City; Bob (Teri) Craft of Marshalltown; one sister, Susan Kahler of Des Moines and a brother-in-law, Steve Miller of La Porte City.

Preceded in death by: his parents and one sister, Pamela Miller.

A Family Directed Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the Rusty Pig (212 Main St – La Porte City) from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 with a private family inurnment in the West View Cemetery at a later date.
