The City of La Porte City is seeking an applicant to fill an expired term on the Hawkins Memorial Library Board of Trustees.  Applicants may reside inside the City limits of La Porte City, or in rural Black Hawk County.  The term will begin on July 2, 2013, and run for six years.

The Library Board of Trustees directs and controls all affairs of the Library including holding regular meetings, hiring of staff, purchases and record keeping. This Board meets regularly on the second Monday of the month at 4:30 PM at Hawkins Memorial Library, located at 308 Main Street.
