LEGORAMA, a fun and educational LEGO building program, is at Hawkins Memorial Library on Tuesday, March 3, from 4 to 5 PM. Twenty children will be presented with a building theme and are challenged to construct a LEGO creation using a wide variety of LEGOS. Projects built will be displayed after the class. Register your child, age 3 years and older, to participate.
Students need to be equipped with STEM knowledge and the creative problem-solving skills necessary to be innovative and creative thinkers. With this STEM-focused program, we seek to create a platform where learning happens in a hands-on and motivational way – helping students discover their talents and cement learning from the core classroom.
Hawkins Memorial Library was the recent recipient of one of 15 LEGO sets awarded to Iowa libraries by the State Library of Iowa, American Library Association (ALA), and the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC).
