On August 8, campers at McFarlane Park will be issued passports to Caribbean adventures on the Sea-Der.
The fun begins on Saturday with a special Caribbean lunch. The menu will include deep fried fish from the sea, special coleslaw and potato salad prepared by the natives, Caribbean style baked beans, and tropical sun raised sweet corn. The island ladies will prepare special treats designed to satisfy each camper’s sweet tooth to help top off the feast. For those who are not fish aficionados, the locals will prepare native slow roasted hotdogs and brats. Special island brewed punch will also be offered.
Following lunch, passports will be issued for Caribbean game adventures. Each passport will allow campers to play six different games for prizes. Everyone will be a winner, and will receive tokens for prizes; those who show prodigious skills may earn extra tokens. After all have had a chance at the games we will assemble at the cabana to split the bootie.
The fun will continue in the evening with movie and popcorn at the McFarlane Theatre. Showing at the theatre will be that Caribbean adventure staring Johnny Depp, Pirates of the Caribbean!
PLEASE NOTE: Activities for campers only, August 8, 2015. Coin will be collected for the feast and passports. Feast- adults $5, children 12 & under $3, toddlers 5 & under free. Prize passports $3 each.
