The Union 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams took on the Hudson Pirates at the Union Middle School gymnasium.  While the 7th graders stayed close for the entire game, they could not forge ahead and dropped a 28-23 decision.  Silver Schmitz led all scorers with nine points, while Carter Asmussen added eight to go along with his team-high 11 rebounds. The team showed much improvement from the first meeting of the two teams, a game Hudson won by a 35 point margin.
The Knights 8th grade battled a much taller Pirate team and fell 47-35.  The team shot well from the field (46%) but could not muster enough defense to slow down the Pirates.  Koby Alpers had the hot hand for Union, leading all scorers with 20 points
