The weather man really doesn’t want to let go of winter, does he? As I am starting to write this column, he is sending some very fine wet stuff, like snow and rain mixed, making it very hazardous. Allison, our activities director says, “We want a nice spring day for our Easter Egg Hunt.”
It seems like this is going to be a very busy week. The Easter eggs need to be filled and counted. We have to put the prize coupons inside and then hide them, when that special day arrives.
This past week Jim Kinney was present with his recording machine and playing many songs for us to enjoy. We like all kinds of music and appreciate those who bring it to us.
Our Thursday church service was brought to us by Rev. Gudka from St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Tuesday we enjoyed our weekly game of Bingo. We are looking for more volunteers to help us during out Bingo times. We appreciate Zachery Neuendorf and Eli Kautz helping on Sunday afternoon at the ice cream social hour. They made good sundaes! We enjoyed St. Patrick’s Day green sundaes that special day.
St. Patrick’s Day was also acknowledged by the kitchen help who prepared some Irish dished for our noon day meal. We enjoyed corned beef and cabbage, along with soda bread. It was great to be an Irish man for a day. Thanks. We finished the day doing exercises such as Wii bowling, kick ball and other games.
We hope the weather straightens out for the Easter Egg Hunt – Happy Easter!
