Looking for a way to give back to the community but don’t have a lot of time to volunteer? The American Red Cross reminds people that in only about an hour, those eligible can help save lives by donating blood.
“Blood is a perishable product that can only come from generous volunteer blood donors,” said Greg Novinska, CEO of the Red Cross Badger-Hawkeye Blood Services Region.
“By donating blood, you can make a difference in the lives of patients in your community.”
Individuals have the opportunity to donate blood locally at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1021 Poplar Street on Tuesday, April 16, between the hours of 2-6 PM.
