Cedar Bend Humane Society
The Cedar Bend Humane Society (CBHS) commits itself to providing humane care for all animals under its protection, educating the community about responsible pet ownership, and advancing the cause of kindness to all animals.
CBHS has been in existence since 1910. Its facility located at 1166 West Airline Highway in Waterloo, opened in 1968. A new adoption center was built in 2009 with community support and donations. CBHS a non-profit organization that exists because of the support and friendship of people who donate money, time, and other gifts. Every dollar and donation received benefits the animals by helping with medical needs, spay and neuter costs, and providing care and shelter for the homeless, neglected, and unwanted animals of the Cedar Valley.
Every dollar donated to Cedar Bend Humane Society through The Progress Review by December 31, 2015 will be forwarded to Cedar Bend Humane Society in support of their work to care for the animals housed at their facility. Upon receipt of your donation, The Progress Review will add a special ornament to the “Share the Season” tree on display at its office bearing your name (or the name of a pet you specify). As a thank you for donations of $20 or more, The Progress Review will send you a special 2016 Calendar featuring a photo (up to 5 x 8 inches) of your favorite pet.
