What is your most embarrassing moment from high school? I’m sure I have one, but my brain is probably blocking it from my memory since it was so traumatizing.
What is your favorite memory from high school? Trying to teach Tessa smack-talk in soccer.
My biggest pet peeve is: When people constantly complain.

What will you miss most about high school? My chromebook… and friends, I guess.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years? With a family and kids living somewhere where it doesn’t snow, ever.
What is the best thing about being a senior? Being a role model for the underclassmen.
What are your post-high school plans? Attend Wartburg to play soccer and major in journalism and creative writing.
Your best advice to underclassmen? Work hard and maintain good grades throughout all four years of high school, colleges look at everything.

Auditions Scheduled for Middle School’s “Aladdin”

Auditions for Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre’s original musical production of “Aladdin and His Magic Lamp” will be held at 3:15 PM on Monday, February 23, 2015, at Union Middle School in Dysart.
Up to 81 middle school students are needed to play the roles of Aladdin, Harmonia, the Sultan, Princess Serena, Zanda the Tiger, the Vizier, the Genie of the Ring, the Slaves of the Lamp and Ring, the Maidens of the Kingdom, the Vagabonds, the Merchants of the Bazaar, and the Giant Gemstones. Auditions are open to any middle school student. The audition process lasts up to three hours and all auditioners are required to be in attendance the entire time. No preparation is necessary. Rehearsals will be held from 3:15-7 PM the remainder of the week, with performances set for 7 PM, Friday, February 27 and 1 PM on Saturday, February 28 at the Union Middle School Auditorium in Dysart.
Two professionals from the Prairie Fire staff will direct the production and play the roles of The Genie of the Lamp and The Evil Magician. Prairie Fire Theatre has been visiting Union Middle School since 1999.
Admission is $3 for performances. Activity tickets will not be accepted.

The event will be held Saturday, February 21 at the CVBC, 219 West 4th Street, Waterloo, from 9 AM – 3 PM. Admission is $3 (kids under 5 years old get in free).

Fisher Makes Donation to Dysart Fire Department

Rep. Dean Fisher (R-Garwin) recently donated $500.00 of his unused legislative expenses to the Dysart Fire Department. The fire department will use the money towards the purchase of a portable defibrillator.
This session, Rep. Fisher has donated $9,500 to Volunteer Fire Departments throughout his legislative district.
