Where do you see yourself in 20 years? Making/producing music, writing, collaborating with artists, musicians, and writers, and being creative.
What is the best thing about being a senior? How non-hectic and fairly easy it is.
What are your post-high school plans? To go to Hawkeye for digital media production, start working with bands.
Your best advice to underclassmen? Try your best to get good grades, have fun, be yourself, and take care of yourself.

Cedar-Mt. Auburn Fire Dept. to Host Soup Supper

The Cedar-Mt. Auburn Fire Department will host its annual Soup Supper on Saturday, March 5 at the Mt. Auburn American Legion Hall. The menu includes four savory soups from which to choose: Chili, Turkey Noodle, Oyster and Creamy Garlic Potato. The meal includes all you care to eat, plus dessert! Serving begins at 5 PM and continues until 8 PM.
A free-will offering will be accepted for this event that serves as a fundraiser for the fire department.

Brady Allen Earns Dean’s List Honor

Brady Allen of La Porte City was named to the Dean’s List at Drake University in Des Moines. This academic honor was achieved by earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the Fall 2015 semester.

Making the Commitment

Three seniors from the Union High School Class of 2016 have recently signed or made a verbal commitment to attend college and play football. Carter Hennessy of Dysart signed with Mankato State University. Mankato is a NCAA II school located in Mankato, MN.
Tate Renaud of La Porte City signed to play at Ellsworth Community College (ECC). Ellsworth is a member of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and is located in Iowa Falls.
Eric Vaughn, also of La Porte City, verbally committed to attend and play football for the University of Dubuque. Dubuque is an NCAA Division III affiliate and a member of the Iowa Conference, located in Dubuque.
