Cedar Valley Bank Celebrates Milestones
Cedar Valley Bank & Trust, one the oldest banks in Iowa, was chartered in 1906 as Mount Auburn Savings Bank. David Coulter and his father, Dan bought the bank in 1988. David is now the sole owner, as it remains a locally owned, full-service bank. The bank charter was moved to La Porte City in 1993 with the opening of a new facility and now celebrates its 20th anniversary at 321 Main Street. Ten years ago, Cedar Valley Bank opened an office at 405 Third Street in Vinton.
With an emphasis on great service and meeting the needs of each community and the surrounding areas, Cedar Valley Bank & Trust is truly a community bank. All loan decisions are made locally, all loans are serviced locally and the owner is involved in the day-to-day operations of the bank. David Coulter and the bank’s fifteen, dedicated employees are actively involved in their schools, churches and community organizations.
To celebrate ten years of service in Vinton and twenty years in La Porte City, Cedar Valley Bank and Trust is hosting an Open House with refreshments and prizes in La Porte City on Wednesday, July 17 from 9 AM to 3 PM. Sign up during the week for a chance to win one of several door prizes in a drawing that will be held on Friday, July 19. Current customers and those looking for a new banking relationship are invited to stop in and visit with the friendly staff of Cedar Valley Bank & Trust.
