Hobbies/Activities: Singing, improvisation, basketball, and hanging out with friends
What is your most embarrassing moment from high school? My sophomore year, I ran into the chute in football practice bruising my ribs in the fall, and fell off the stage during musical practice, bruising a ligament in my knee. It was a painful year.
What is your favorite memory from high school? Being involved in activities. From playing in the pep band, to playing ball, to performing on stage, there are a ton of great memories. It didn’t matter whether we won or lost or placed somewhere in between, the journey and having a great time with friends is what I will remember.
My biggest pet peeve is: People who don’t try and whiners.
Who are the most influential people in your life? My mom, dad, sister, brother, and friends. Together they have guided me through high school and helped me achieve success.
What will you miss most about high school? Getting the opportunity to be in activities and hanging out with friends.
Where do you see yourself in 20 years? Hopefully in 20 years I will have a steady job with a wife and kids.
What is the best thing about being a senior? Knowing how everything works. You know what it takes to be successful, and can take the steps to reach success.
What are your post-high school plans? Attend the University of Iowa or UNI to major in History with a secondary education certificate.
Your best advice to underclassmen? Get involved! All of your best memories will be made by getting involved in activities. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

La Porte City Christmas Tree Pick Up Jan. 6

La Porte City residents are reminded that city workers will pick up Christmas trees for disposal on Tuesday, January 6. Trees must be placed curbside by 7 AM that morning, with ALL decorations and garland removed. Trees can also be taken to the City landfill between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM daily.
