The Jesup baseball team beat Union 4-1 in Jesup on May 29.  Jesup did their damage all in the first two innings scoring one in the first and three more in the second with a two RBI double doing most of the damage.

Union scored their lone run in the third when junior Justin Carey led things off with a double and later scored on a passed ball.  Union was only able to muster four hits on the night; Carey (2), Tecklenburg, and freshman Dylan Stech.

Although he suffered the loss, Carey threw a nice ball game throwing six innings, giving up just four hits, while striking out eight, walking one, and hitting one.

“I thought Justin threw very well for his first time out.  If he can throw like that, he will win games for us this year.”

Union is 2-1 overall; 2-1 in the conference.
