Union scored first when  Koby Alpers drew a bases loaded walk to score pinch runner, Alex Krall.  Dike scored one in the top of the fifth off of Union starter, Alex Barz, to tie the game.  Union regained the lead in the bottom half of the inning when Tecklenburg reached on an error, was sacrificed to second by Barz, and scored on a single by Lambe.  The Knights scored two important insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth.  Holschlag reached on a single and scored on a double by Tecklenburg.  Tecklenburg then scored on a misplayed ball hit by Barz to extend the Union lead to 4-1.
In the bottom of the seventh, Dike scored twice before advancing runners into scoring position at second and third with two outs.  Tecklenburg relieved Barz. After walking the next batter to load the bases, he struck out the final batter looking to end the game.

Alex Barz earned the win throwing six and two-thirds innings allowing just one earned run, giving up four hits, striking out seven, walking six, and hitting three.  Ted Tecklenburg earned the save.
