Sophomore Jacob Bechthold in only his third meet of the year at Gates Park against Columbus Catholic shot a good round of 53. He is going to have a larger role on our team next year with the graduation of Hunter and Kole, so that was promising to see him play well. Kyle Cowell had a solid round of 47. All players struggled to make short putts on the recently aerated greens which is why the scores were high for both teams.

Columbus (169): Austin Kneeland (medalist) 38, Henry Walters 43 (runner-up medalist), Joe Duggan 44, Charlie Lorenz 44, Dan Noonan-Day 44, Jake Nemmers 45

Union (181): Hunter Reel (runner-up medalist) 43, Kole Hedeman 44, Kyle Cowell 47, Treyton Slater 47, Jacob Bechthold 53, Clayton Kokesh 58

We played at the Jesup Country Club on May 9 in the NICL East Conference Tournament. The weather was cold and drizzly all day, but was certainly playable conditions. Kyle Cowell put together another solid round as he has done several times in recent weeks. Senior Hunter Reel had the low round of the day for the team, It was our best showing in recent years, but with the expectations we had set forth for ourselves, it was a disappointing performance.

Union (385): Hunter Reel 90, Kole Hedeman 94, Kyle Cowell 95, Treyton Slater 106, Jacob Bechthold 115, Clayton Kokesh 127
